Sylvia L Matteson, CFP

Sylvia L. Matteson started as a Financial Planner in 1981, receiving her Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation in 1984 from the College for Financial Planning, Denver, Colorado.

She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Education from the State University of New York at Oswego. Sylvia was a Financial Planner for many years in New York. She moved to Tucson, in August of 1997 and worked as a Senior Financial Planner with a local financial planning firm. Prior to her career as a Financial Planner, Sylvia was a teacher.

Sylvia is a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA), the National Association for Female Executives, National Association of Professional Financial Advisors (NAPFA), the Social Investment Forum and Co-op America.

Sylvia also serves as a coach and facilitator for individuals and groups. She has designed and facilitated numerous workshops and seminars on topics including: Integrated Arts for Elementary Teachers, Alternative Healing Program for ElderHostel, Financial Planning seminars and Empowerment Workshops.
